About Me

I am originally from Canada, and I moved to the US about two years ago (transfer with my company). So, here I am, living in Cincinnati, working for the man in my day job.  But, much like Clark Kent and Superman, at night I lead a different life - VP Marketing at Photrade.com (the best new photo site in the world).  I LOVE marketing - especially online marketing and brand building, despite having a strong background in finance - 5+ years of finance experience and I have a CFA.  I think that my finance background makes me a better marketer.

I'm on the verge of becoming a tech geek. My friends look scared when I mention Second Life (it only increases when I explain WHAT Second Life is. They usually ask if there is a problem with my first life.). My friends look more scared when I tell them I have to "twitter someone" (question from one of my friends: "Are you dating someone? Sounds sexual."). Awesome.

Other non-vital pieces of my life that those random people who stumble upon my blog may be interested in (or not):

I read.  Lots.  Mostly business books.  I treat fiction novels as a guilty pleasure.

I got my Green Card in January of 2008.  I can't vote.

I am a citizen of Canada and Ireland.  I have 2 passports.

I love dancing and music.  I'm failing in my attempt to learn guitar despite having once been a drummer in a rock band. 

I only enjoy watching sports for the opportunity to cheer and yell.  I don't care who wins but I love the excitement.

My dream is to one day live on the beach somewhere hot.  I truly appreciate natural beauty and try to find opportunities to see more of it in my life.

I hate turning down a dare.

My first time ever in an airplane I jumped out of it.

I never know what to write about it my blogposts and worry that I am uninteresting.
